The Hikers Cannabis sign and staff outside the White Cloud store

About Hikers

A mom-and-pop shop in the woods, four years on the same corner.

We're the only cannabis store between Croton and Hardy Dam — locally owned, run by people who live out here, staffed by people who know the shelf.

Our story

Nature's hideaway for cannabis enthusiasts.

Hikers is a locally owned, mom-and-pop cannabis store — not a franchise and not a chain. Four years in, we're still the only one between Croton and Hardy Dam, and still run by the people who opened it.

That's the whole difference. There's no corporate script behind the counter, no quota on the budtender, and nobody in another state deciding what goes on the shelf. What's in the case is what we chose, and the person telling you about it is the person who picked it.

Croton is for floatin', Hardy is where you party.
And we're in the in between

What we're about

Three things we don't bend on.

What makes the shelf

We stock what we'd take home

Nothing goes in the case because a vendor pushed it. We buy from growers we can name.

Real answers

Budtenders who know the shelf

Our staff will talk cannabinoids, terpenes and lineage for as long as you want to. First names, no script, no pressure. New to it? Say so — we start there more often than you'd think.

Rooted here

A local shop, not a location

We're the only cannabis store in the Croton-Hardy corridor, and we live in it. Walking distance from thousands of campsites, open all four seasons, and glad to tell you where the boat launch is.

The people

Ask the budtender. That's the whole idea.

Our staff know the shelf the way a local knows the trails — what came in this week, what's worth your time, what to skip. They'll tell you when something isn't for you, which is the part that's hard to find.

Most of them live within twenty minutes of the store. Some of them float Croton on their day off. It's a small crew and you'll start recognizing them, which is roughly the point of shopping somewhere local.

Everyone gets carded, every visit, every time — including curbside and at the door on delivery.

Treehuggers

We built our own line.

Treehuggers is our house preroll line — rosin-infused, out of about three years of people telling us at the counter what they wished was on the shelf. Each flavor pairs a strain handpicked to blend with our in-house rosin, to create a unique flavor.
